Every Cinderpath engagement follows the same process: an initial conversation to assess fit, a written scope document prepared for the client's review, agreement on scope before any work begins, delivery of the engagement work, at least one review cycle on the deliverable, and then the final output handed over to the client.
The sequence is the same for a two-week metrics review and a twelve-week operating engagement. The discipline of writing the scope first — and agreeing it before starting — is what keeps the engagement on track and ensures the client knows what they are getting.
Operating Metrics Review
A two-week engagement reviewing the metrics the client organisation is currently tracking — what is being measured, why, who looks at it, and how the data is used. The consultant interviews leadership and operational leads, reviews dashboards and reports, and produces a tidy written report identifying which metrics appear useful, which feel unused, and which gaps are worth attention. The deliverable is a reference document the leadership team can use as a starting point for their own metrics conversation.

Working Document Templates Engagement
A three-week engagement to design and draft a small library of working documents the client organisation will use consistently — meeting agenda templates, decision logs, project briefs, status reports, retrospective notes. The consultant designs each template based on conversations with the team, drafts an initial version, and revises through review cycles. The library is owned by the client and meant to be adapted over time. Suited for organisations of 20 to 200 staff.

The consultant attends agreed leadership meetings, facilitates working sessions on specific topics, supports the drafting of operating documents, and produces a closing written reflection at the end of the engagement. This is a facilitation and documentation engagement — the leadership team retains decision-making throughout.
